Character
Fred [1] likewise known as Incidental 1,[two] Incidental F1,[3] Incidental 1D,[4] Incidental 1ISH [5] and Dude #1 [6], is a mackerel who first appears in the episode "Reef Blower" while his production order debut was in "Squeaky Boots." He is classified as a "hotdog" type incidental.

Names
He has been nameless through most appearances throughout seasons 1 to ten, but in "Patty Hype," he was named Fred, and in Season xi, the crew re-adapted the name and has been named Fred virtually frequently. He has had other names, nonetheless, such as:
- In SpongeBob SquarePants Trading Bill of fare Game, he was named Hank Halibut and also Troutenheimer.
- In "Large Sister Sam," he was named Clint.
Description
He is a brown mackerel with lite tan fins and black eyes. He wears brown pants and a black chugalug with a gold belt buckle. He also has visible nostrils.
Incidental F1
He is pale light-green with a yellowish-green dorsal fin. He lacks nostrils and wears a black adapt over a white dress shirt along with blackness pants and a purple bowtie and belt. He was originally colored dark brownish like his normal variant.

Personality
Although Fred is an incidental, he has shown to have a consistent personality always since his big advent in "My Leg!" Before "My Leg!", his personality was oftentimes inconsistent and differed from other episodes. He appears to be a generally kind and somewhat normal person that is also usually decumbent to accidents that end upwardly getting him injured, in near cases his legs get injured and he shouts out "My leg!" when this happens. He also does appear to have a small annoyance with SpongeBob but he still appears to consider him as a friend despite the number of times SpongeBob was responsible for getting him injured. He also enjoys beingness at the infirmary so he can be near Nurse Daisy Bazooka, a nurse that he has a beat on.

Fred performing his song, "Hey All You People," in the episode "Jellyfish Hunter." Another one of his notable appearances in the series.
Fred is arguably the near commonly used incidental character in the series. Throughout the series he has unremarkably had small-scale speaking roles or has made brief appearances as a groundwork character along with the other incidental characters. He too has an "F" incidental variant known as Incidental F1 that makes a fair amount of appearances throughout the series. He has been heard yelling "My leg!" in many episodes, usually during dangerous events. He appears as the chief protagonist of the episode "My Leg!," which mainly focuses on him throughout the episode. He has made many more prominent roles in the series ever since "My Leg!" and has had a consistent personality and voice ever since. He was firstly designed to be a Krusty Krab customer.

His boatmobile is eaten by nematodes, which causes him to say "Naw, dang nematodes!" while he still appears to be driving in the air.

Duplicates of him announced at the Krusty Krab as customers where they all get briefly injured past Pearl's meltdown. Mr. Krabs later asks all the Freds if they would be interested in taking Pearl to the prom, the Freds however all run away in fear.

He is seen at the Krusty Krab trying to shoo a fly away from his table. SpongeBob imagines him as Sandy and beats Fred upwards by crashing him right through the floor, causing him to yell "My leg!" He afterward appears near the end of the episode where he was the second customer recieving a Krabby Patty from SpongeBob and Sandy after Incidental 37B.
"Sleepy Fourth dimension"
He appears in Plankton'south dream along with Incidental 37A and Incidental 93 where the three of them first glare at Plankton correct after he shrinks to his normal size. Fred so steps on Plankton, causing him to wake upwards from his dream.

He is seen walking into the Krusty Krab telling SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs to rev up their fryers so that they can make him a Krabby Patty. But Mr. Krabs tosses him out of the Krusty Krab so that he tin continue playing SpongeBob and Patrick's board game. He is also heard yelling "My leg!" right earlier Mr. Krabs tosses him away.

He joins Sandy to search for SpongeBob where he is seen putting a poster of SpongeBob on a pole.
